Weather in Cabo San Lucas
"If you're considering a stay in Cabo, don't pass up Club Cabo as a consideration. It's a quick 5 mins. into town by cab, and the hosts, Martin & Irene, treat you like family. The rooms are clean and have air conditioning, and it is extremely quiet and peaceful." read our endorsements
Snorkeling
Cabo San Lucas
Baja California del Sur - Mexico

Picturesque Bahia San Lucas, with the final reach of the 1,000 mile long Baja peninsula flanking its southwest side, is a marine sanctuary and home to schools of triggerfish, anglefish, goatfish, parrotfish, and more. Spear fishing, collecting or fishing is not allowed, but you can explore and take all the pictures you like. Pick up a water-taxi at the Cabo San Lucas marina and ask to be taken to Lover's Beach, near the arch, where you can snorkel, dive or watch the sea lions.
Two-hour snorkeling tours with guide, arch and sea lion colony tour, boat and equipment cost around $25 US per person; or you can rent gear and head out on your own for about $10 US per day. Equipment is available at dive shops around the marina or make arrangements through your hotel's activities desk. Snorkel tours also leave from the sands of Playa el Medano, the main beach across the bay.

Tio Sports (114-32986), Pisces Water Sports (Cell. 87530) and Baja's ATVs and Water Sports (114-32050) all rent equipment here. Don't forget that you're in the sub-tropics, so wear sunscreen and bring food and water or soft drinks. The Pacific side of the arch, with its strong currents and deadly undertow, is not for water sports of any kind, so stick to the shallows and calmer waters on the marina side of the arch.
